Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Overnight Long Island Crash

A motorcyclist was seriously injured in an overnight crash on Long Island.

It happened on Saturday, Oct. 26 at approximately 4:10 a.m. in Huntington.

Thomas Horton, 55, of Manorville, was operating a 1996 Yamaha northbound on Centerport Road, near Blenheim Lane, when he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed, Suffolk County Police said.

A passing motorist saw Horton lying on the side of the roadway and called 911. Horton was transported to Huntington Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, according to police. The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check.
